A former head of the public order branch at New Scotland Yard, Mike Davies created the company after more than 30 years service with the Metropolitan Police. He is a former Chairman of the London Emergency Services Liaison Panel, a committee of the blue light services, responsible for ensuring the integration and harmony of procedures during major incidents in London. He has a Masters Degree in Business Administration and a Bachelors Degree in Law and is a holder of the Queen’s Police Medal.
Tony Speed CBE QPM DL is one of the facilitators with CCTC. For more than 10 years he was responsible for all major security and public safety issues in London, including the funeral of The Princess of Wales, and numerous other events including the annual Notting Hill Carnival. He founded the London Emergency Services Liaison Panel Gold Group (LESLP) and was its first chairman. He also has experience of working with Treasury Solicitors at public inquiries.
Mark Scoggins is an acknowledged expert on health and safety, liability and public inquiries. He has been involved in many high profile cases including acting for Thames Trains after the Ladbroke Grove rail disaster and for Balfour Beatty following the rail tragedy at Hatfield. He also represented two Commissioners of the Metropolitan Police on charges brought by the Health and Safety Executive. His reputation for superb and “hypnotic” public speaking is legendary.
Former Chief Superintendent in the West End of London, Malcolm Eidmans QPM, is also a facilitator and lecturer on courses. He has extensive operational background and involvement in public order events. He was responsible for creating and introducing innovative recruit training at the world famous Hendon Police College. He is a fellow of the Institute of Management and has a Masters Degree in Risk, Crisis and Disaster Management.
Peter Shawdon was previously the Assistant Solicitor of the Metropolitan Police Service. He had been responsible for public order and terrorism legislation, health and safety and major incident policy and procedural policy for many years. He has been involved in training and advising on this subject for some considerable time. He regularly acts as advisor on seminars, exercises and training courses for commercial companies. Peter's specialist areas are evacuation procedures and issues around Duty of Care.
Derek Pollock formerly with the Metropolitan Police as the commander in charge of a unit primarily based in central London which encompasses a substantial part of the Government Security Zone in Westminster. He is an experienced Public Order commander well used to policing State Ceremonials and major events like the large 100,000 concert audiences in Hyde Park. He has an extensive background in counter terrorism and was a Home Office Licensed Police Search Advisor (PoISA) for 11 years – one of the longest.
Michael Messinger, formerly a Commander in the Metropolitan Police Service. He has specialised for many years in Scotland Yard Public Order Operations and has been the regular GOLD for London for all the major events in the Capital. He has an in-depth knowledge of major incident management matters and held the post of secretary of the Police National Committee on the subject. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, the holder of the Queens Police Medal and was appointed a Lieutenant of the Royal Victorian Order by Her Majesty the Queen.
Mick Free QPM, is an ex senior Metropolitan police officer with over 30 years experience. For the last 10 years of his service he held a national role as the emergency procedures co-ordinator for ACPO. He has been directly involved in many major disasters and civil emergencies during this time, including Ladbroke Grove rail crash, Fuel Crisis, World trade Centre attacks (9/11), the Indian Ocean Tsunami and London bombs of 7th July 2005. He has also played a leading role in the response to 5 separate public inquiries into major disasters and represented the UK on the Interpol Standing Committee on Disaster Victim Identification (DVI) 2000 - 2009. He has authored or co-authored a number of national guidance documents, including the ACPO/DCMS Guidance on Humanitarian Assistance in Emergencies. He is a regular lecturer at the National Police Leadership College, Fire Service College and the Cabinet Office Emergency Planning College. He is also an experienced trainer and facilitator.
Jeanette Turner and Rod Enoch-Brown both ensure the planning and all the courses run smoothly. Jeanette previously worked for Prudential in the commercial property division. Rod is a logistics expert and has been involved in contingency planning – including when he was sent to the Cayman Islands after a period of unrest on the Islands – throughout his 30 year police career.
